Frequently Asked Questions

What is a walking Food Tour?
A food tour is a gathering of a small group of guests who walk a designated route with a local tour guide visiting 5-7 predetermined restaurants and local establishments. You will eat a small bite at each location all while learning a bit about the city, the food and the restaurant you are visiting.
How much walking is involved?
Our tour is approximately 1 mile long, from start to finish. Depending on parking, the total distance walked (Including the tour) is approx. 1.5mi. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing for the weather because all tours run rain or shine!

We do provide a recommend area to park that is central to the tour. Click here for the Elmwood Village Tour Map

What happens if it rains (or snows)?
All of our tours are held Rain or Shine or Snow! (it has been known to snow in spring although it is rare).

Please dress appropriately for the day’s weather and bring an umbrella if necessary

What can I expect on the tour?
Each tour begins at a predetermined location. From there, we will walk to restaurants/cafes and have a tasting at each stop. Our local guide will provide interesting facts and answers your questions along the way. The tastings include a mix of sandwiches, appetizers, and deserts. (Alcoholic drinks may be purchased as an add-on to our tour or separately at establishments)
Does the tour accommodate Vegan/Vegetarian/Gluten Free diets?
Our tours currently can offer vegetarian options but we cannot guarantee vegan/gluten free options
Do tours accommodate all ages?
We kindly ask all tour-goers are 12 years of age and older
What restaurants do we visit?
Due to current economic conditions; our routes MAY vary throughout the Tour season.

Our tours are designed to be a mix of local pub grub, a hint of something different (think ethnic cuisine), a cafe, a market & something sweet!

(subject to change without notice)

How is the price determined?
We work hard in partnership with local businesses to provide you with high-quality food at a competitive price. Our tours include stops at approx 5 to 7 local restaurants and cafes where you will receive a generous tasting portion that will leave you satisfied and (hopefully) thrilled!
